Road accident in Dhamrai kills 4 RMG workers

Four RMG workers were killed and at least 18 injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Dhaka’s Dhamrai yesterday.
The identity of the deceased workers could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhamrai Police Station Monirul Islam said the collision took place in the Batulia area of Dhamrai around 9:30pm.
He said the bus, carrying workers of Graphics Textiles located in the Serampur area of ​​Dhamrai, fell into a ditch after the collision.
“Four people were killed in the accident. Of them, three died on the spot and one died after being taken to a nearby hospital. Moreover, at least 18 people were injured in the collision,” the OC told The Daily Star.
The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals, he said, adding that the death toll may rise as the condition of some of the injured was critical.
